A coat or jacket has a defined body and sleeves. A cape wraps the body and may use arm openings instead of set-in sleeves. A shawl is primarily shoulder-worn and may have no arm opening. A vest is a shaped sleeveless garment with armholes. A sleeve component is developed and delivered as a component, not presented as a complete coat.

Structure determines the canonical decision
UMS-SFX-037 remains a long hooded cape candidate, while UMS-SFX-040 remains a short V-front shawl/short-cape candidate. UMS-LTFX-008 keeps camel, pink and black in one page because those images are one visible structure in three color directions. The other 0830 styles stay separate from current 0828–0829 URLs because their hood, sleeve, collar, length, closure or delivery form differs visibly.
Specify the delivery form for sleeves
UMS-FXSL-038 is a connected shoulder-and-sleeve statement accessory designed to layer over strapless or bustier-style garments. The RFQ should add shoulder-back connector width, sleeve measurements and a photo or technical drawing of the receiving garment.
Occasion is a specification, not a color inference
A white shawl can serve several collection directions. Wedding, evening, stage and general occasion programs may need different coverage, closure, lining and photography. UMS-WFX-039 can be developed for bridal and eveningwear programs; the brief should still define coverage, closure, lining and styling direction.
Treat species and color as label facts
Product photography can show silhouette and color appearance, but it does not establish the formal animal name, origin or whether a color is natural, dyed, bleached or otherwise treated. Record those items from the approved product label and supplier evidence before public material wording is finalized.

Yes, when the pattern, materials and key construction are the same. Colors can then share one canonical page and one style record. A visible structural difference should be reviewed before consolidation.
What if the formal fur category is pending?
Use neutral visible-color wording and confirm the public label from the approved sample and product-level records.
Which photographs matter most?
Use clean front, back and side views, then add arm openings, closure, lining, collar or hood, component attachment and measuring-point images. Copyright and model rights must be documented before public use.
